Kitchen Remodeling in Melbourne, FL

Make room for easier cooking, better storage and a kitchen that feels like yours.

Kitchen remodeling in Melbourne, FL, can bring better storage, more useful counter space and a fresh look to the room you use every day. Echos Wood Design offers custom kitchen design, cabinetry, cabinet refacing, countertops, islands, backsplashes and selected finishing details.

Start with the parts of your kitchen that need attention. We can help you explore how those updates fit together.

Which Parts of Your Kitchen Would You Change?

A crowded pantry. Drawers that do not hold what you need. A countertop with too little room for meal prep. Your project can start with one clear problem.

Tell us what works in your kitchen and what gets in the way. That helps shape the right combination of cabinets, surfaces and storage.

Keep a Layout You Already Like

If your cabinet boxes are suitable, cabinet refacing may be an option. Pairing that update with selected hardware, countertops or a backsplash can change how the kitchen looks and feels.

Plan Around New Cabinetry

Custom cabinetry allows you to choose storage and cabinet sizes around your needs. An island or pantry can also be considered where the available space allows.

Bring the Details Together

Cabinet hardware, a custom range hood and selected lighting can help connect the finished design. These details should be discussed early so they fit the cabinetry and surfaces.

Kitchen Islands, Pantries and Storage

More storage is useful when it is easy to reach and fits what you own. Think about the items that need a place: cookware, small appliances, food containers and pantry supplies.

Available services include:

  • Kitchen island installation.
  • Pantry design and installation.
  • Kitchen storage solutions.

An island should fit the room with space for people, cabinet doors and nearby appliances to move. Pantry planning should account for both daily items and larger supplies.

Countertops and Backsplashes

The countertop and backsplash should work with your cabinet choices. Reviewing samples together helps you compare colors, patterns and the overall look before making a final selection.

Choose from:

  • Countertop installation.
  • Quartz countertop installation.
  • Granite countertop installation.
  • Backsplash installation.

See our quartz and granite countertop options for more information.

Kitchen Demolition

Removing existing kitchen elements is part of some updates. The demolition scope should identify what will be removed, what will stay and what needs protection.

Discuss removal needs before setting the installation schedule. If existing materials hide damage or conditions that affect the planned work, those issues need review before the next stage.

Custom Range Hoods and Cabinet Hardware

Small details can change the appearance and daily use of a kitchen.

We offer:

  • Custom range hood installation.
  • Cabinet hardware installation.

Bring the range hood specifications and any hardware ideas to the design discussion. The hood’s dimensions, installation needs and any required connections should be clarified before the surrounding cabinetry is finalized.

Under-Cabinet and LED Kitchen Lighting

Light under the cabinets can make countertop tasks easier. LED kitchen lighting can also become part of the selected design.

Our listed lighting services include:

  • Under-cabinet lighting installation.
  • LED kitchen lighting installation.

Discuss placement, controls and connection requirements before installation. Any work involving new wiring needs review for the applicable permit and trade requirements.

Put Your Priorities in Order Before Choosing Finishes

Choosing colors is easier when the project’s main decisions are clear.

Your priority

What to discuss

Improve storage

Pantry needs, cabinet sizes and where everyday items belong

Update the appearance

Whether existing cabinets suit refacing or replacement

Add preparation space

Countertop needs and whether an island fits

Coordinate the look

Cabinet finishes, countertop samples, backsplash and hardware

Improve task lighting

Under-cabinet placement, LED options and connection needs

You do not need every answer before contacting us. Photos of your current kitchen and a short list of priorities are a useful starting point.

Know What Your Kitchen Estimate Covers

The price of a kitchen project depends on the work selected and the conditions in the room.

Important factors include:

Ask which items are included, which decisions are still open and what could change the schedule. A clear scope makes it easier to compare proposals.

Prepare for the Work Before Your Kitchen Is Taken Apart

Bring Photos and Your Must-Have List

Include wide photos of the room and close views of the cabinets, counters and areas you want to change. Note anything you want to keep.

Review Measurements and Selections

Cabinet dimensions, countertop choices, island space and the range hood specifications need to work together. Final decisions should be recorded before the affected items are ordered or built.

Confirm the Order of Work

Discuss removal, cabinet work, countertop measurement and installation, backsplash work and finishing details. The sequence depends on what your project includes.

Plan for Daily Life

Ask when cabinets or counters will be unavailable. Clear the agreed work areas and arrange a place for food, dishes and small appliances during the update.

Melbourne Project Details Worth Checking Early

Confirm the Correct Permit Office

The property’s jurisdiction matters. A Melbourne mailing address alone should not determine which permit office you use.

The City of Melbourne identifies electrical, plumbing and mechanical work among activities that require permits. Check the exact scope with the responsible building department, especially when selected lighting or range hood work involves connections.

For local guidance, visit the City of Melbourne Building Section. Brevard County handles permitting for properties in its unincorporated areas.

Look Up Available Property and Permit Records

If you are unsure about earlier changes to the kitchen, available records can provide useful background.

The Brevard County Property Appraiser provides property information. For permit history, use the responsible city’s records system or Brevard County’s permit search, as applicable. The county provides access to records dating from 1990.

Records are a starting point. They do not replace measurements or an inspection of the current kitchen.

Address Moisture Before Covering It

Melbourne’s warm, humid wet season makes indoor moisture worth checking during project planning. If cabinets or nearby walls show signs of leaks or dampness, address the source before covering those areas.

EPA recommends keeping indoor relative humidity below 60%, ideally between 30% and 50% when possible. Follow the selected products’ storage and installation instructions as well.

Check Access Rules for Your Building

For a condo or property with an association, ask whether the project needs approval or has delivery, elevator, parking or work-hour restrictions.

Share any applicable rules before scheduling materials or installation. Requirements vary by property.

Freddy quite literally made a dream come true! I've always wanted my own dressing room but the idea of transforming one of my bedrooms into one seemed daunting. Freddy made it happen while I was away on a trip and I came back to the most beautiful, elegant, tasteful space! He not only custom built the cabinets, but he also fully replaced my stained carpet. He clearly takes great pride in his workmanship. He came highly recommended (and I see why now), and I knew I could trust him completely. He is a master craftsman and if I could give him 100 stars, I would! Thank you Freddy!!!

We are extremely happy with how our kitchen turned out. The entire process was smooth, and the attention to detail really stood out. The cabinets are beautifully built, everything fits perfectly, and the amount of storage is exactly what we were hoping for. The waterfall island became the centerpiece of our home, and the quality of the workmanship exceeded our expectations. The project was completed on time, communication was always clear, and the installation was clean and professional. We would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking for high-quality custom cabinetry.

I cannot say enough good things about Echos Wood! I had been searching everywhere for a cabinet company to help bring my nursery storage ideas to life, but so many places used cheap-looking materials or lacked the quality I was hoping for. Then I came across Echos Wood — and I’m so glad I did. From the very beginning, Freddy was incredible. He was so communicative, patient with all my indecisiveness, and genuinely invested in making everything perfect. As a fellow perfectionist, I appreciated his attention to detail more than he knows. He took my inspiration and turned it into something even better than I could have imagined. The installer was also amazing — kind, professional, and willing to fix every tiny detail we asked about without hesitation. The craftsmanship, the quality of the wood, and the overall experience were truly top-notch. If you’re looking for beautiful, well-made custom cabinets and a team that genuinely cares, Echos Wood is the place. I couldn’t be happier with how my nursery turned out

First things first Freddy is a PERFECTIONEST From design to completing the job he was there throughout the entire project, we did our kitchen remodel from a distance.( California ) Never one doubt with them. He is the best, no 321 bolt together cabinets here, all were custom made with 3/4" plywood laminated. If you have had the rest Freddy is the BEST Also with a complete kitchen he included lights inside the cabinets.

Questions to Settle Before Your Kitchen Update

In some cases, yes. Cabinet refacing may be suitable when the existing cabinet boxes and layout work for your plans. Their condition needs to be reviewed before deciding. Countertops, backsplash and hardware can also be considered as part of the update.

No. You can begin with photos and a general idea of the look you want. Countertop choices should be reviewed alongside your cabinetry and backsplash.

The schedule depends on the selected work, material availability, fabrication, site conditions and any required approvals. Request a project-specific schedule after the scope and selections are clear.

Kitchen island installation is one of our services. The available space, clearances and intended use need to be reviewed first. Any required utility connections must also be addressed in the project planning.
